TinkerList is selected as an innovative startup to participate in VRT (National broadcaster of Flanders) SANDBOX. VRT joins forces with startups and innovative organisations to boost media innovation. During short periods of time, selected projects get a unique chance to scale and/or develop their products with access to VRT’s infrastructure and technological resources.
Both sides are taking advantage from this collaborative approach. Media technology improves case by case while VRT gets a head start.
Erik explained how important it is for creative television makers to have a unified platform.
Television production teams fall back on cheap everyday software. They use too many different and incompatible programs. Files are stored in different formats and at different locations. There is a complete lack of overview of the different stages of the television process.
The main focus of the discussion was the need for one environment, in which all participants of the editorial team (editors, copywriters, graphic designers,…) and the production crew (director, producer, technical operators,..) can collaboratively create and adapt content during all stages of the television production process.
